What is Digital nomad visa?
A residence permit that lets you live in a country while working remotely for employers or clients based outside it, usually subject to a minimum income.
Also searched as: remote work visa, freelancer visa.
Digital nomad visas are aimed at remote workers and freelancers whose income comes from abroad. They typically require proof of steady income (a monthly or annual threshold), private health insurance, a clean criminal record, and sometimes a rental contract or accommodation proof.
They differ from tourist entry (which forbids work) and from local work permits (which require a local employer). Terms, income floors and tax treatment vary widely by country, so the specific route matters more than the label.
