- Enroll in National Health Insurance (Kokumin Kenko Hoken) at the municipal office and the pension system (Nenkin).
- Renting often requires key money (reikin), a deposit, and a guarantor or guarantor company. Main housing portals: Suumo (suumo.jp), GaijinPot (apartments.gaijinpot.com), At Home. Emergency 110 (police), 119 (ambulance/fire).
